Dan SanGiovanni is a student-athlete (Emory University Varsity). He played for 2 years in the DC United Academy system. In his only full year of HS soccer (sophomore) he started 19 of 22 games for 2016 Virginia HS champion. Dan was MaxPreps player of the match in the 2016 VA State 2A High School championship. Dan SanGiovanni (Emory University) gave his advice on the college recruitment process and first year playing experience to nearly 100 prospective athletes at the NCSL Summer Soccer Combine by The St. James (Springfield, VA). SanGiovanni was part of an expert panel led Doug Homer (St. James Director of Soccer) along with D.C. United players Russell Canouse and Bill Hamid, Sebastian Hendi (Marymount) and Youssef Naciri (former Raja and Wydad Casablanca player).

SanGiovanni Serves as Panelist for DC Soccer Combine
Dan SanGiovanni was interviewed by John Wilson, former D.C. United and Charleston Battery defender, as part of the DC-Area College Soccer Combine at the St. James Athletic Facility in Springfield, VA. The event featured coaches from nationally-ranked college soccer programs. SanGiovanni offered reflections on his experiences in the recruitment process.

SanGiovanni Serves as Panelist for I.B. Diploma Event
Dan SanGiovanni provided commentary on his experiences earning an International Baccalaureate Diploma (chemistry focus), while simultaneously achieving success as a key starting player in nationally-ranked club and Olympic Development soccer programs.SanGiovanni completed his degree at George Mason High School -- ranked by U.S. News and World Report in his graduation year (2018) as the #2 of all Virginia high schools.
SanGiovanni has continued to pursue his interests as a chemistry major and varsity athlete at Emory University.
