SanGiovanni as a starting CB at National USYS Tourney

 

Dan SanGiovanni started in center back in the two of three matches played by his team at the USYS National TournamentIn his second match, Dan was a key part of the shutout earned against an undefeated opponent.  He was recovering from injury during the game in which he did not play (vs. West Coast Armour).

BRYC U18 Finalists in VA State Cup

SanGiovanni started in center back for the BRYC U18s at the VA State Cup Finals.  He played the entire match, helping to hold McLean Green (2016 National Champions) scoreless until the final 15 minutes of the match. BRYC U18 Advances to State Final

The BRYC U18 squad advanced to the VA State Cup final with a 3-1 win versus SOCA.  Dan SanGiovanni started in center back for BRYC and played for the duration of the match.

Region 1 Tournament

SanGiovanni started at center back in all matches for the Virginia State ODP team at the Region 1 Tournament. In the time that he was on the field , the team conceded 2 goals. SanGiovanni served as team captain in the tournament.

SanGiovanni Receives 2017 Perlo Award and Cornell University Book Award

The Hyman M. and Phillip D. Perlo High School Athlete Award honors outstanding rising 12th grade scholar-athletes who attend school in the Greater Washington, DC area.  SanGiovanni is currently in 11th grade.  

The Cornell University Book Award is for outstanding academic accomplishment and leadership in the area of community service.

SanGiovanni as representative at Model United Nations


On 21 April 2017 Dan SanGiovanni participated in the Model United Nations at the Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Virginia. 

TechMUN provides delegates with a simulation of world politics wherein students take on the role of diplomats and assemble in committee to investigate, debate, and propose solutions to world issues. From massive General Assembly committees to the European Union to the cabinets of warring nations, to brand new application only specialized Middle School conferences this year, TECHMUN offer delegates the opportunity to roleplay on a wide number of committees as the representative of many different countries and ministries. MUN helps students learn how to communicate, collaborate, and argue effectively, all essential life skills in any career field.

US Youth Futsal D.C. Metro Futsal Winter League Champions -- undefeated in highest bracket

SanGiovanni organized and helped manage a team playing in the most competitive bracket of USYF D.C. Metro Futsal League.  The squad finished first, defeating a team that reached the Final 4 of the 2017 USYF National Championship in their final match.

BRYC Elite 1998 DISNEY U19 Champions 2016



BRYC Elite 1998 won the U19 Division of the Disney Winter Showcase.  

Dan SanGiovanni played at center back in the championship match.  BRYC held their opponents, Pachuca River Plate, scoreless.  Pachuca is currently ranked 16 Nationally and 2 in Maryland by GotSoccer.com (http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?TeamID=217346&compact=).  BRYC is currently ranked 35 Nationally, 18 in Region 1, and 2 in Virginia (http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?teamid=228981). 


Dan was born in 2000 and is playing with the age group 2 years above his birth year group.
